The Buckleys

Having firmly established themselves as one of Australia’s premier young bands, The Buckleys are known for their infectious and exciting blend of Country with Rock, Pop and 70s nostalgia which has seen them achieve five top 5 charting singles, 4 x CMAA Golden Guitar nominations including the coveted “Group of The Year” accolade and droves of international acclaim including American Songwriter Magazine stating The Buckleys “are so cool and authentic that the world has no choice but to sit up and take notice.”

Consisting of siblings Sarah Grace (lead vocalist/bass guitar), Molly (vocals, keyboard and mandolin) and Lachlan (electric and slide guitar), the band have taken their dynamic and electrifying live show to stages across Australia and the United States from Bluesfest Byron Bay to CMC Rocks, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Meatstock, Gympie Music Muster, Savannah In The Round, Mundi Mundi Bash as well as appearances at Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Cafe, Music City Roots, LA, New York and more. In a recent review, Sunburnt Country say’s “The Buckleys are one of the greatest live acts you could ever hope to see”.

Their debut single, "Daydream,” catapulted the trio into the limelight, scoring a #1 single at Australian Country radio in 2019, followed by four consecutive top 5 charting singles. The band recorded in Nashville with Grammy award-winning engineer and producer, Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift, Trisha Yearwood, Hailey Whitters).

An award winning documentary on the band’s meteoric rise was also produced by Oscar winning producer, Christopher Jenkins and directed by Grant James entitled ‘Take It As It Comes’. It achieved the Gold Award at the Independent Shorts Awards (Los Angeles, California) and was dedicated to the Chairman of Petrol Records and long time manager of INXS, Chris Murphy, who discovered and signed The Buckleys in 2019.

Lead singer, bass player and songwriter for the band, Sarah Grace Buckley wrote their internationally acclaimed debut album “Daydream” which was described by Rolling Stone Magazine as a ‘Masterclass in songwriting’. Sarah was also credited as the co-writer of their hit single “Money,” which was listed in American Songwriters’ "Top 20 Songs of 2020”. Sarah achieved an APRA AMCOS Professional Development award win for her accolades as a songwriter with Petrol Records’ Chris Murphy stating, “Sarah Buckley will be one of the best songwriters to come out of Australia. Ever!”.

The band started 2024 with a bang at the Tamworth Country Music Festival where their Buckleys & Friends show featured surprise guest appearances by none other than Lee Kernaghan, Fanny Lumsden, Kingswood and Felicity Urquhart. They have also been busy on tour and stirring up a storm with Aussie Country Rock legends, Kingswood, as well as the Meatstock tour circuit with Chace Beckham, Hoodoo Gurus, You Am I and more. On top of that, they have been in the studio working on new brand music…. 2024 is gearing up to be the most exciting year yet for the band!
